HOT METAL SPRAYING

The gas mixture spraying out of a specially designed pistol (jet) melts the metal powder and injects it onto the surface to be sprayed. After reaching the required layer thickness the sprayed layer is melted and the material adsorbs into the treated surface.

Advantage:

• very hard surface (62 HRc)
• thick, tough layer
• several carbides to implant (W, Cr, etc.)
• provides for the use of cheaper and softer raw materials

Application:

• non or difficultly weldable castings (cylinder head, exhaust pipe, etc.)
• heat and wear resistant surfaces (CO - Base), (power plant parts, metal sealings)
• wear resistant surfaces (W - Base), (grain spraying, ground movers, oil drills, grinders)
• acid and corrosion resistant surfaces (Ni - Base), (pumps, chemical industry equipment, tools for the glass industry)
